Mont-Saint-Michel — UNESCO Abbey, Bay and Tides in Brittany

Listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, Mont-Saint-Michel is one of the most iconic landmarks in France. Located just 40 minutes from our gîtes, it offers a breathtaking setting between land and sea.

Perched on its rocky island, the Mont is surrounded by some of Europe’s highest tidal ranges. At high tide, it becomes an island once again, creating a truly magical experience.

Walk along the medieval Grande Rue lined with historic houses and restaurants before reaching the impressive abbey of Mont-Saint-Michel. From the top, enjoy spectacular panoramic views over the bay.

For the best experience, visit early in the morning or late in the evening to avoid crowds and enjoy beautiful natural light.

Nearby, explore the Brittany coastline and enjoy a relaxing stay close to the sea.

To fully enjoy the Emerald Coast, explore our gîtes in Saint-Malo, including 1 with sea view, ideally located near the beaches.
